The leadership program was organized by MetaMeta and ICRAF in Wageningen, The Netherlands during the period 15 to 24 May 2017. The program aimed to gather the Spate irrigation project leaders from the 8 different countries from Asia and Africa (Afghanistan, Pakistan, Myanmar, Yemen, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya and Malawi) to enrich the leadership role in order to enhance the livelihoods of the targeted spate irrigation systems. It also aimed to exchange and share knowledge to reflect the successful experiences in each country.
